    Description

The floor level of the presentation area of the Maurice Lamontagne Institute auditorium is located on a lower floor than the main entrance and it is not possible for a speaker with reduced mobility to get there, because there are no facilities to make this area accessible.

The option of installing a platform on a rail in a staircase located inside the auditorium has been chosen and will allow an individual with reduced mobility to descend the steps safely, and also allow them to reach their full autonomy.

To do this, the removal of fourteen benches and the widening of a concrete staircase covered with carpet will be necessary to install the platform. The contractor will also be responsible for supplying, installing and connecting the platform to electricity. It will also have to provide for the replacement of the carpets of the four auditorium staircases to harmonize everything.
