IMPORTANT NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS RE. BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary measures are being taken on-site at the Western Region Bid Receiving Unit to encourage social distancing. The health and safety of staff and suppliers remains our top priority. 

Suppliers are strongly encouraged to submit bids electronically using the Canada Post epost Connect application for the subject bid solicitation. This service allows suppliers to submit bids, offers and arrangements electronically to PWGSC Bid Receiving Units. This online service enables the electronic transfer of large files up to Protected B level.

Faxed bids will be accepted at 1-418-566-6167.

1.2.1 The Department of National Defence (DND) Real Properties Operations Section Edmonton (RPOS(E)) is responsible for the maintenance of the kitchen equipment exhaust systems located at CFB Edmonton. In the performance of this responsibility, there exists a requirement for a Kitchen Canopy Inspection & Cleaning contract.

 The Contractor must provide certified technicians to do inspections and cleaning of ventilation hoods, fans, ducts and filters in kitchen areas on the base at the following locations:
a) Building 210 (Combined Mess) on a regular monthly schedule for inspections and on an “as and when requested basis” for cleanings.
b) Building 200 (Officer’s Mess ) on an “as and when requested basis”
c) Building 161 (MFRC Daycare) on an “as and when requested basis”

The period of the contract is from date of award to May 31, 2024 with two option years.

1.2.3     This bid solicitation allows bidders to use the epost Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation to transmit their bid electronically.  Bidders must refer to Part 2 entitled Bidder Instructions, and Part 3 entitled Bid Preparation Instructions, of the bid solicitation, for further information.
