LETTER OF INTEREST REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
CONSULTATIVE COMMUNITY OF PRACTISE FOR CREATIVE COMMUNICATION CONTRACTING

The purpose of this Letter of Interest (LOI) is to make industry aware that Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Communication Procurement Directorate (CPD) is seeking to establish a new consultative community of practise.

The Consultative Community of Practise for Creative Communication Contracting (CCPCC) would consist of industry suppliers who provide creative communication services to federal government departments, or agencies.

Two (2) individual communities of practice will initially be established as follows:

CCPCC #1 would consist of industry suppliers who provide audio visual, multi-media design and creation, graphic design, exhibits, and events services to the federal government.

CCPCC #2 would consist of industry suppliers who provide printing services to the federal government.

Industry suppliers can request to be added to the CCPCC at any time. In addition, PSPC will post a Letter of Interest on buyandsell every summer to reach out to new suppliers.

PSPC proposes to meet with the CCPCC once each quarter. Meetings would be held in both official languages, chaired by CPD from the National Capital Region with the option for suppliers to attend by teleconference and WebEx.

The first meeting is planned for the fall/winter of 2018.

Topics of discussion could include transformational government procurement activities such as but not limited to socio-economic procurement, contractual clause issues and development, paperless environment topics such as e-bidding and electronic signature, and dialogue surrounding the technology and changes in these industries. These committees do not include any aspects of advertising, marketing or paid placement.
