    Exhaust System Upgrade at  Sir Frederick Banting Research
    Centre, 251 Sir Frederick Banting Driveway, Ottawa, Ontario 
    
    Project description:    Fume Hood Exhaust System Upgrade at  Sir
    Frederick Banting Research Centre. The project is to upgrade and
    replace exhaust stacks and related equipement on a multi-story
    level two biosafety laboratory structure.
    
    
    Work is to be completed within ten (10) weeks after contract
    award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the
    following category: category 5  $1,000,001 - $5,000,000
    
    
    MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:   
    This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  At
    bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated
    Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this
    requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further
    consideration will be given to the Bid. 
    
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  
    There will be a site visit on December 18, 2012 at 10:30 am. 
    Interested bidders shall meet at the main entrance of the Sir
    Frederick Banting Research Centre, 251 Sir Frederick Banting
    Driveway, Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the
    site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green
    patch).

    Amendments, when issued, will be available from MERX. Firms that
