    1. Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) 
    
    An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.
    
    2. Definition of the requirement
     
    The Department of National Defence (DND) at 12 Wing Shearwater, Nova Scotia has a requirement for the supply of new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts from E-One for a crashed fire truck.
    
    PARTS REQUIRED:
    
    • Brake Pad kit                P/N 654572001 Quantity 4 each
    • Coil Spring AFPS 4x4 2010   P/N 654571014  Quantity 3 each
    • Rivet, Drive Nylon           P/N 43159511   Quantity 3 each
    • Brake Valve Switch           P/N 340107       Quantity 1 each
    
    The product/system/equipment must be OEM Parts from E-One as this is 16824-2010 TRUCK FF CRASH FIRE RESCUE given the nature of this apparatus OEM only parts are to be used.
    
    3. Criteria for assessment of the Statement of Capabilities (Minimum Essential Requirements):
    
    Certified approved reseller for OEM Parts from E-One. 
    
    Any interested supplier must demonstrate by way of a statement of capabilities that its product/equipment/system (as appropriate) meets the following requirements: 
    
    - Certificate from E-One of Dealer Exclusivity

    Techno Fue Inc. is the exclusive dealer for the sale of E-ONE emergency vehicles and parts in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

    The following exception(s) to the Government Contracts Regulations is invoked for this procurement: under subsection 6(d) "only one person is capable of performing the contract".
