Trade Agreement: NAFTA/AIT/Canada FTAs with Peru/Colombia/Panama Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: ISO CONTAINER LIFT & MANOEUV. SYST. W8476-175520/A Annie Therien Telephone: (819) 420-5526 Facsimile: (819) 956-5227 Email: annie.therien@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca This amendment is raised to publish questions and answers. Q1: Is the dolly set to be used on roads? A1: YES but meant to be used in compound and Tarmac. There is other Dollys meant for roads. Q2: What towing speed is required of the dolly set? On-road and off-road? A2: It’s manually handle or with Forklift or a Mule. Q3: Para 3.2.a states the dolly set shall be deployed on a flat soft or hard surface at 0 degree incline. Para 3.2.d states that is shall be capable of being operated off-road including open fields, and para 3.5 states that it shall be all terrain. Please clarify exact required operating conditions - is it hard level surfaces, or rough terrain? A3: The Dolly set shall be capable of being operated off-road ( e.g. construction sites, open fields and dirt tracks). Terrain conditions shall include year round operations on snow, mud, sand and ice. Q4: Para 3.6.d and 3.7.h and 3.7.I only call for a lift height of 60 mm. This is not consistent with being able to operate in open fields or all terrain. Dolly Set mobilizers used by the Canadian military have a ride height of around 355 mm. Please confirm this minimum height requirement. A4: A minimum ground clearance 60 mm means as low as Q5: Para 3.1.a calls for reliability and maintainability testing. What are the specific R&M requirements? A5: Be in production or a pre-production model that has gone through testing for performance, reliability and maintainability; Q6: What type of steering system is required? A6: No steering, it’s four individual units Q7: What type of lifting system is required to lift containers up to ride height? A7: Read para 3.7 Q8: Para 3.6.b calls for a maximum protrusion of 400 mm? Please explain what this means. Is this the length of the dolly set? Does it include the towbar or steering bar? Why is this important? - dolly sets in DND inventory have a longer length which is suitable for a higher lift height and better steering geometry. A8: Each Units shall not protrude more than 400 mm beyond container length NOT the System. Q9: Is C130 Aircraftloading of containers required? A9: NO Q10: Is there any preference for Canadian manufactured dolly sets that are already in DND inventory? A10: NO All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
