Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Asian Carp Program (based in Burlington, ON) requires a custom trailer to serve as a mobile laboratory and command post for response activities. The basic layout will be a fully enclosed insulated, finished 7x16 dual axle trailer with rear barn doors and a curbside RV style door with a series of required custom modifications detailed below. The trailer must meet or exceed applicable standards set out in the Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations (MVSR) such that the trailer is legally certified to operate in all the provinces and territories of Canada. The trailer may be loaded with equipment including generators to power the unit, coolers with samples, fisheries sampling gear, as well as chairs and desks and personal gear amounting to approximately 600 lbs.
