IMPORTANT NOTICE - BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Bids must be submitted electronically only using the Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation. Through this service, suppliers can submit bids, offers and arrangements electronically to PWGSC Bid Receiving Units. This online service allows the electronic transfer of large files up to the Protected B level.

Instructions for using Connect service are included in this solicitation under item 2.2. Submission of Bids of PART 2 - BIDDER INSTRUCTIONS.

Bids submitted in hard copy by mail, in person or by fax will not be accepted.

CONTEXT

The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) is seeking to replace the existing deck machinery package currently fitted aboard the CCGS Earl Grey by a new complete deck machinery package including the associated control systems, power supplies, and defined accessories. 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

To procure a complete deck machinery package along with the associated control systems, power supplies, defined accessories required for their operation, and to install a new chain handling winch on the main buoy deck in accordance with the Requirement at Annex A - Technical Statement of Requirement.

The contract will include the irrevocable option to purchase an additional complete set of identical deck machinery package for the CCGS Risley under the same terms and conditions and at the firm fixed unit price and/or rates stated in the Contract.

CCG requires Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommended spare parts for all supplied deck machinery, along with all necessary tools and associated items required for their installation with delivery of the new machinery. CCG requires the contractor to have the ability to provide OEM field service representatives (FSR) to the Vessels homeports to perform on-site technical support such as oversee future commissioning/testing of the units and crew training regarding unit operation, regular crew maintenance and troubleshooting.

DELIVERY PERIOD 

By bidding, the contractor agrees to deliver the requested parts and material between May 1st, 2024 - August 1st, 2024. 

If the option is exercised, the optional requirement must be delivered within 40 weeks following  the Contract Amendment.
