Requirement:
The intent of this specification is to perform a condition survey of the four (4) main propulsion D.C. generators manufactured by Westinghouse Canada on the CCGS Griffon. The objective of this assessment is to highlight any deficiencies and to determine the best available techniques to re-wind and overhaul the propulsion generators so they last the life of the vessel which is estimated between fifteen (15) and twenty-(20) years without another major overhaul.

Note: The vessel is operated in the Great Lakes sector

Work Period:
Commence: June 2016 or earlier. 
Complete: August 30, 2016.
Note:Work is to be performed during the vessel’s layup periods as follows (Dates are              pending operational requirements)

Sourcing Strategy:
The requirement is subject to theprovisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).

Reference documentation
The Contractormust communicate with the Contracting Authority to obtain a copy of the reference document as specified in the Statement of Work in Annex “A”.
