PROJECT TITLE
Deep Space Exploration Robotics (DSXR)

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT


With this Request for Proposals (RFP), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) through Canadian Space Agency is seeking bids for the project entitled DSXR Phase 0. Canada has participated in international discussions to determine the next step for human exploration. A common long term goal is the human exploration of Mars. One step towards this long term goal is demonstrating and proving technologies beyond LEO. A deep-space habitat platform in a lunar orbit will extend human presence and further demonstrate and prove technologies and operations at a larger distance from Earth, which is described in the Global Exploration Roadmap (2013). 

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
No security requirements apply to this Project.

PERIOD OF CONTRACT
From the date of issue for a period of twelve (12) months with a one (1) year option.

MANDATOR TECHNICAL CRITERION
The mandatory technical criterion is described at the Attachment 1 to Part 4 of the Request for Proposals entitled: Evaluation Criteria for the Technical and Managerial bid.

MANDATORY FINANCIAL CRITERION
The Maximum amount of funding available for the contract will not exceed $2,750,000.00, all applicable taxes extra. Bids valued in excess of this amount will be considered non-responsive. This disclosure does not commit Canada to pay the maximum funding available.

BASIS OF PAYMENT
Milestone payments and Progress Payments.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The lntellectual Property will vest with the Crown
