EW479-150546 HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL

This published notice is not a solicitation.  This document does not offer any commitments with respect to future purchases or contracts.

The purpose of this notice is to inform industry, government departments and government agencies that Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) will not refresh the current Supply Arrangements under EW479-150546 Hazardous Waste Disposal.  

PWGSC has issued a new Request for Supply Arrangement (RFSA) under the requisition number EW479-162880/A to replace the current Supply Arrangements.  PWGSC will cancel the existing Supply Arrangements once the newones are in place.

The decision to replace the current Supply Arrangement is based on the following objectives:

1)  Encourage additional contractors to qualify as Supply Arrangement holders in all regions of Canada.

2)  Include conditions for requirements that are applicable to Comprehensive Land Claim Agreements (CLCAs) or the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB).

3)  Re-evaluate the dollar threshold for the new Supply Arrangements.  Further detail is included in the new Request for Supply Arrangement for EW479-162880/A Hazardous Waste Disposal Services.

4)  Clarify which particular types of hazardous waste are included in, or excluded from, the scope of work.  For Example: chemical, medical or biohazard waste.

Until the new Supply Arrangements are in place, interested contractors may bid on requirements that appear on the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) at www.buyandsell.gc.ca.  At the present time, departmental authorities must competitively tender all their hazardous waste disposal requirements valued $89,600.00 or above on the GETS.  For requirements valued below $89,600.00, they have the option of tendering their requirement on the GETS or through the existing supply arrangement.
