High Endurance Multi Task Vessel Type 1100 Propulsion System
Renewals

Part of the Vessel Life Extension Refits (VLEs) for the T1100
vessels will be to replace the current Cycloconverter,
Propulsion Control Levers, and Propulsion Generator's Excitation
Systems. The successful contractor will be required to provide
new cycloconverters of a proven design which can be integrated
into the Type 1100's existing propulsion system. Along with the
cycloconverters, the contractor will be required to renew the
Propulsion Control Levers (PCL) system used to control the
cycloconverters, and the Generator Excitation (GES) systems used
on the three main propulsion generators.

The scope of the work shall consist of the design, manufacture
and factory acceptance test of the replacement cycloconverters,
propulsion control levers, and generator excitation systems
along with the design, manufacture, and engineering of all the
supplemental components needed to control the propulsion system
from both the engine control room and wheelhouse of the Type
1100. 

Along with supplying the equipment for installation, the
contractor shall provide installation specifications that will
be included in the eventual refit solicitation document.
