    2.   Definition of the requirement:

    National Research Council Canada has a requirement for the supply of a GeneVac EZ-2 Elite evaporating system. The system will be used to increase sample throughput when evaporating fractions containing acetonitrile following HPLC separation, and allowunattended evaporation of high boiling point solvents such as DMF and DMSO.

    3. Criteria for assessment of the Statement of Capabilities:

    Any interested supplier must demonstrate by way of a statement of capabilities that its equipment meets the following requirements:

    5. Capable of fast freeze drying of HPLC fractions;
    6. Bumping control system - Dri-Pure®;
    7. Pre-set protocols: simple selector switch for choosing evaporation methods.  Pre-set drying protocols are more GLP compliant than non-automated protocols;
    8. Automatic pressure control optimised for different solvents;
    9. Non-contact sample temperature measurement and control; and
    10. Compatible with unstable samples: there is an inert gas option.
    11. Maximum sample load of 1.5kg;
    12. A side bridge swing that is HCI resistant; and
