    The works consist of the installation of a new hydrofluoric acid (HF) VAV fume hood with associated PVC ducting and laboratory air valve.  Work is to include the complete upgrade of room 523 from the existing constant air volume laboratory airflow control system to a variable air flow (VAV) laboratory airflow control system.  This includes upgrading the room to VAV and includes the replacement of 3 existing laboratory air valves (2 supply 1 general exhaust) and upgrading the C2 digital kits for the two existing fume hood air valves.  Control of the new fume hood, air valves and existing fume hoods is to be fully integrated.  Upgrading the room to VAV also includes providing fume hood VAV monitors, sash sensors, and zone presence sensors for the two existing hoods and the new HF Fume hood.  
    
    The work on this contract includes coordination and cooperation with building personnel working on the site.
     
    All contractors intending to bid are requested to attend a site examination meeting. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site, examine the drawings and discuss projects details. The site visit will be held at the following date and location, as stated below:
    
    Interested bidders are invited to meet at Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO), Main Entrance, 1 Challenger Drive, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on the 9th of December, 2015 at 1300 hrs local time.

    Enquiries during the solicitation period shall be addressed only in writing by email to the Contracting Authority named above and must be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date stated above.
