Demolition of Building No. 6 - Potato Research Centre,
Fredericton, New Brunswick

Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
for the demolition and disposal of all hazardous materials,
including some asbestos-containing materials, and non-hazardous
materials, of the existing Building No. 6 at the Fredericton
Potato Research Centre, New Brunswick. All work is to be
performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for
PWGSC Project Numbers R.058865.001 forming part of the bid
document. The contract completion is seven (7) weeks after
contract award.

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
site visit on January 16, 2014 at 1:00 pm. All interested
bidders are to meet at  Building No. 6 of the Potato Research
Centre, Fredericton, New Brunswick. Although not mandatory, all
contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are
encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the
work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation
resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment
to the bid solicitation.
New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
included in the solicitation documents requires attention. 
A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. 
The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
category: $250,001 - $500,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and
contract security for construction is required.
