Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: 51019-165055/A Donovan, Janine PWB Telephone No. - (506) 636-5347 Fax No. - (506) 636-4376 Medical Consultant - Sydney, NS Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) has a requirement for the provision of medical consultation services on behalf of Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) for the Sydney Area Office located in Nova Scotia. The period of the contract is from October 1, 2016, or date of award, to March 31, 2017 with options to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. This document contains a security requirement. The Bidder must meet the following Mandatory Requirements: 1) a) The proposed Doctor must possess a Degree from a recognized school of medicine; or, b) if the degree is from outside Canada, the bidder is responsible for having the Canadian equivalency of the degree evaluated by a recognized third party. The list or recognized organizations can be found under the Canadian Information Centrefor Internation Credential website at " http://cicic.ca 2) The proposed Doctormust possess a valid license to practice medicine in the province of Nova Scotia. 3) The proposed Doctor must have one (1) clinical experience in the examination and management of patients experiencing at least two (2) of the five (5) following conditions within the last five (5) years: -musculoskeletal problems -mental health problems -complex/multiple health problems -geriatric health problems -chronic pain 4) The proposed Doctor must have at least two (2) years of experience working with the health and non-health professionals in the delivery of health care services for clients in the past five (5) years. 5) The proposed Doctor must have one (1) year experience providing health care for at least two (2) of the following groups of people in the past five (5) years: -Senior Citizens -Veterans -Canadian Forces -RCMP clients 6) The proposed Doctor must have one (1) year experience within the last five (5) year, conducing Veterans Affairs Canada's Pension Medical Examinations. Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Firmsintending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and contract documents.
