NOTICE OF OPTIONAL  SITE VISIT

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of theBidder visit the work site.  

The site visit will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 1:00pm.  Contractors are asked to meet at the Terminal Building, Wood Islands Ferry Terminal, PEI.

Bidders are requested to communicate with the ContractingAuthority 1 day(s) before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend.  Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form.  Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given analternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid.

Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement for a contract, which consists of the following:

The project includes the supply and installation of a new sewage treatment system at the Wood Islands ferry terminal in Wood Islands, PEl. The work includes the supply and installation of various sewage treatment components including, but not limited to: 

Supply and installation of a new combination grease/trash tank, retrofit of existing septic tank for useas septic/recirculating tank, new biological treatment system, effluent tank, ultraviolet disinfection units, HMI control panel and Controls Building as outlined in the drawings and specifications.

The Contractor shall perform and complete the work by April 28, 2017.

All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PSPC Project Number R.077976.001 forming part of the bid document.  The estimate for this opportunity is within the following cost category:  $500,000to$750,000.
