    Guelph, Ontario.  Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Laboratory Building - 110 Stone Road, West.
    Laboratory HVAC Replacements.  Project No.  R.098422.001
    Public Health Agency Canada has identified a project for the PHAC Laboratory building in Guelph, Ontario. 
    Work under this contract comprises of the replacement of the original air handlings, identified as SF-1, SF-2/3, EF-1 and EF-2, with new fan units.  In addition, provision of new humidification for the supply fans; new variable frequency drives for the supply and exhaust fans; new control devices  to be included. The laboratories are to remain in operation by temporary relocation of laboratory operations to non-affected paces.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    1. There will be a site visit on October 22, 2020 at 10:00AM.  Interested bidders are to meet at 
    the parking lot at the front entrance of 110 Stone Road, West. Guelph, Ontario
    
    2. Safety Attire:
    In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit, all persons are required to wear proper personal protection equipment, safety boots, hard hats; Safety glasses and non-medical face mask/face covering.  
    
    3. NOTE: As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the following precautions are mandatory during the site visit:
    
    •  Bidders are to preregister 72 hours prior to the site visit, if       they are not preregistered they will not be permitted to attend the    site visit.
    •  Bidders are to download, read, complete and sign the “NML    Visitor/Contractor Questionnaire during COVID-19 Pandemic”.  (see    buandsell attachment 3).
    •  Bidders are to submit the signed questionnaire to the Departmental    Representative at least 24 hours prior to the time of the sit visit.
    •  Bidders who do not submit a signed and completed questionnaire will   not be permitted to attend the site visit.
    •  Only one bidder from each company permitted, to a maximum of 10    people including PSPC or other representatives.
    •  Wear a Non-medical masks/face covering at all times while outside of  vehicle.
    •  Maintain 2m social distancing at all time.
    •  Observe proper hand hygiene while on site. Sanitize hands before    entering the building and after exiting. Attendees should bring hand    sanitizer.
    •  Attendance will be taken by Bidders announcing their name and    Departmental Representative recording (no list passed around).
    •  Avoid social greetings (e.g. shaking hands).
    
    Self- screening assessment questions:
    
    •  Do you have a cough, fever, sore throat, difficulty breathing, or any other new or worsening symptoms?
    •  Have you travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?
    •  Have you had close contact with a person with acute respiratory    illness who has travelled  anywhere outside of Canada within the last    14 days before their illness?
    •  Have you been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of   COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
    
    Bidder self-screening and declaration that you are not ill is required at arrival.
    
    Do not attend the site visit if you answered yes to any of the questions, and contact your health care provider for advice.
    
    Site Visit Plan  
    • Bidders to text Departmental Representative Richard Morris at 416-618-3306 upon arrival and stay in their vehicles until they receive a text from the Departmental Representative letting them know the meeting is ready to start.
    • Once all bidders have arrived, Departmental Representative to text all bidders to meet at front entrance. 
    • Bidders will meet at in the parking lot at the front entrance for attendance and briefing.
    • Departmental Representative will take attendance.
    • Departmental Representative will lead two (2) bidders at a time to the project site, allowing bidders to view the existing conditions
     
    Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than three (3) days prior to the scheduled site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. 
    
    Bidders who do not attend the site visit or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment.  
    
    Within the Invitation To Tender, the Crown sets out the project requirements, i.e., the particulars of the project itself and the broad scope of work required from the contractor.
    
    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within Twenty (20) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
