Trade Agreement: CETA / CFTA Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Solicitation No. EQ754-182494/A Project No. R.083938.001 Chalk River, Ontario - Meridian Bridge Upgrade Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) on behalf of Natural Resources Canada have a requirement to upgrade the Meridian Bridge located at Petawawa Research Forest, Meridian Road, Chalk River, Ontario K0J 1J0. SCOPE OF WORK Work under this Contract comprises the removal of the existing culverts and the installation of Meridian Bridge. The existing structure is a multi-cell, 3 cells each having diameter of 1.2m culvert that has collapsed and is still in place. The work in general includes cofferdams and water control provisions, environmental provisions, turtle mitigation, dredging, culvert removal, heavy timber construction, timber bridge installation, grading, and guiderail installation. All work shall be in accordance with the Specification, Project No. R.083938.001 dated 2017-12-27. COMPLETION TIME The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by the 28th September 2018, from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be a site visit on the 8th February 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at Natural Resources Canada/Canadian Wood Fibre Centre, Petawawa Research Forest (PRF), 1000 Clouthier Road, Chalk River, Ontario, K0J 1J0. Directions: Proceed on Clouthier Rd., follow it until you reach a black sign indicating the Petawawa Research Forest, then turn right down to the offices by the lake. Enter the first building. The site visit for this project is OPTIONAL. The representative of the Bidder will be requested to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bidders who have not attended the site visit will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Bidders attending the site visit are requested to register with the Contracting Authority Mary Caporusso by email: mary.caporusso@-tpsgc.pwgsc.gc.ca Safety Attire: In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
