    The work under this contract covers the furnishing of all labour, material, tools, equipment, plant, and supervision required to rehabilitate the Jones Falls Locks (39 to 42) along the Rideau Canal waterway system between Ottawa and Kingston, Ontario. The primary objective is the masonry rehabilitation of the locks, including the rehabilitation of lock gates winches; sluice valves and winches, sluice tunnels; mooring cables and scramble ladders, masonry stairways; railings; masonry sidewalks, concrete chamber floors, installation of secant wall and sheet pile wall,  stabilization to historic bridge abutments, improvements to site drainage, and the demolition and construction of a new 74 meter span timber footbridge supported on piles and crossing between Jones Fall Bay and Whitefish Bay immediately downstream of Lock 42. The project site is  located in Jones Falls, ON with access from Stone Arch Dam Lane, Lock Road and Kenneys Road off of County Road 11.

    There will be a site visit on Thursday August 9th at 11:00am. Interested bidders are to meet at Jones Falls Lockstation in Elgin ON K0G 1E0
