    Cove Island Light Station is located on the northern tip of Cove
    Island, Georgian Bay, Lake Huron, North West of Tobermory,
    Ontario
    
    Scope of Work
    Site preparation, abatement (removal) of lead based paint from
    the exterior of site structures, removal of debris from two dump
    sites (small dump site and main dump site), removal of
    non-friable asbestos containing transite board (located at the
    main dump site), and clean-up/restoration of the site upon
    completion of the work. 
    
    Mandatory Site Visit
    There will be a Mandatory site visit on 25 September 2013 at
    1:00pm. Bidders will meet at 3 Bay Street, Tobermory, On
    (Driver's Den Office). The location is less than 50m from the
    Marine Parking Lot. A boat has been arranged to transport
    bidders to Cove Island. 
    
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The
    representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
    Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by
    Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be
    accepted.
    
    It is mandatory that the bidder attend the mandatory site visit
    at the designated date and time to examine the scope of the work
    required and the existing conditions. Bidders are requested to
    register with the Contracting Officer, Bob Hassell at
    bob.hassell@pwgsc.gc.ca or 416-590-8270, to confirm their
    attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
    attend, 24 hours prior to the site visit.
    
    Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting
    from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
    solicitation...
    
    The duration of work is schedule to be completed within five (5)
    weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
    
    Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
    downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
    paper version. Documents are available on "Buy and sell.gc.ca".
    Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are
    incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and
    Contract Documents.  The Standard documents are issued by Public
    Works and Government Services Canada.
