** IMPORTANT UPDATE** Effective April 16, 2020:

Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Edmonton will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 am to 11 am and Tuesday, 9 am to 2 pm (local time). 

Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.  

Please monitor Buyandsell.gc.ca closely as changes to bid closing dates may be necessary.


**IMPORTANT UPDATE** New process for hand-delivered bids, Edmonton Office, Canada Place - Effective March 11, 2020

Suppliers must be escorted by PSPC staff to access the Canada Place Bid Receiving Unit. Suppliers will not be issued a visitor’spass as previously communicated.

A courtesy phone will be available at the Commissionaire/Information desk in the main lobby. The courtesy phone will bepreprogrammed with a direct line to PSPC reception.

A PSPC staff member will meet suppliers at the commissionaire/Information desk and escort them to the Bid Receiving Unit withinthe building’s secured space.

Please ensure adequate time is allotted to deliver a bid to account for this new security procedure.

It is the responsibility of suppliers to ensure that the bid, offer or arrangement, as applicable, is delivered on time to the Bid Receiving Unit. 

Plumbing and Gas Fitting Services - Correctional Service Canada 

Work under the Regional Individual Standing Offer comprises the supply of all labour, equipment, material and supervision as required to undertake work related to construction, alterations, and urgent repair work for Plumbing and Gas Fitting services. 

The work will be as requested by Correctional Services Canada (CSC) as per call-ups for Plumbing and Gas Fitting Services at the following CSC institutions:
- Bowden Institution and MSU (Minimum Security Units), Innisfail, AB. 
- Pê Sâkâstêw Centre, Maskwacis, AB.

Services are to be provided on an "as requested basis". It is anticipated that 1 firm will be issued the standing offer. The standing offer will be issued for a period of two (2) years with one (1) subsequent option year. 

This procurement contains MANDATORY requirements. See Part 4 and 5 of the RFSO for details.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

Debriefings

After issuance of a standing offer, offerors may request a debriefing on the results of the request for standing offer. Offerors should make the request to the Standing Offer Authority within 15 working days of receipt of notification that their offer was unsuccessful. The debriefing may be provided in writing, by telephone or in person.
