    Work Description:
    Work to be done under this Contract covers the improvement work for the cooling system at the Douglas Border Crossing, located at 220 Highway 99, Surrey, BC.  Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following:
    1.) Supply, install and fully commission a new domestic water back-up cooling system and new domestic water / well water flow control system;
    2.) The physical connections into the buildings incoming domestic water system and into the existing ground water piping system is to be by “hot tapping” so that the existing systems in the building can continue to operate during the final connectionrelated work;
    3.) The existing ECMS control system is to be modified so that the well flow rate and domestic water flow rate (in back-up conditions) is controlled to match the demand of the buildings heating and cooling system;
    4.) A new buffer tank isto be installed into the existing glycol heating system;
    5.) Associated work with the well water system.
    
    Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.
    
    Site Visit:
    Contractors are recommended to visitthe site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site visit is scheduled on Monday, March 6th, 2017 at 10:30am local time, at the Douglas Border Crossing, located at 220 Highway 99, Surrey, BC. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites. Contractors attending the site visit may be required to show one (1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Driver’s License.
    
    All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit.  
    
    Delivery Date:
    The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within fourteen (14) weeks from Contract Award.

    Value of Project:
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost around $200,000.00.
