Title:

CBSA IPIL-RFID, Douglas and Pacific Highway Port of Entry

Location: 

Douglas and Pacific Highway Port of Entry, Surrey, BC

Work Description:

The Work under this contract covers the following:

- Providing electrical raceways (conduits/junction boxes) for power and signal circuits, associated with primary inspection lanes (PIL) at both Pacific Highwayand Douglas Ports of Entry (POE) in Surrey, BC.  
- Providing posts and concrete work and trenching associated with electrical conduits. Also includes roadworks and median installations.
- Lane/PIL booths 304, 305,& 306 in Pacific Highway Port of Entryand Lane/PIL booths #1,#2 & #3 in Douglas POE.  These will be equipped with LPR/RFID hardware.
 
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract and as shown on the drawings.  

Site Visit:

Contractors are strongly recommended to visit thesite prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

A site visit is scheduled on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 @ 10:00 am local time.  Interested bidders are to meet at the Douglas Port of Entry - Peace Arch Crossing, 220 Highway 99, Surrey BC, in the lobby of the main traffic building.

A secondary optional site visit is scheduled on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 @ 10:00 am local time.  Interested bidders are to meet at the Douglas Port of Entry - Peace Arch Crossing, 220 Highway 99, Surrey BC, in the lobby of the main traffic building.  

Bidders must wear personal protective equipment (high visibility vest) to thesite visit.

Delivery Date:

The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within 6 weeks from Contract Award.

Value of Project:

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $110,000.00 and $125,000.00
