TITLE: Construction Services - Mechanical Standing Offer

LOCATION: Various Locations in the Fraser Valley, BC 

WORK DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of the Mechanical Construction Standing Offer is for low dollar construction, O&M-related work and urgent repair work, on an "as and when reqested" basis, at the following Correctional Service Canada Institutions;
• Mission Medium Institution, Mission BC
• Mission Minimum Institution, Mission BC
• Mountain Institution, Agassiz BC
• Kent Institution, Agassiz BC
• Kwìkwèxwelhp Healing Village, Harrison Mills BC
• Matsqui Institution, Abbotsford BC 
• Pacific Institution, Abbotsford BC
• Fraser Valley Institution, Abbotsford BC
• Chilliwack Community Corrections Centre, Chilliwack BC 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
Offerors shall be authorized to provide mechanical plumbing services and must include a mechanical plumbing red seal certification or equivalent trade certification, required in the province of British Columbia.

PERIOD OF STANDING OFFER: One (1) year

If the Standing Offer is authorized for use beyond the initial period, the Offeror offers to extend its offer for two additional one year periods, under the same conditions and at the rates or prices specified in the Standing Offer, or at the rates or prices calculated in accordance with the formula specified in the Standing Offer.

It is anticipated that two (2) standing offer(s) will be issued.
The total expenditure of the standing offer is $700,000.00 (GST included).

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
Contractors are recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. 

A site visit is scheduled on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10am local time, at the PWGSC Site Office, at the Matsqui Institution, located at 33344 King Road, Abbotsford, BC. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites. Contractors attending the site visit may be required to show one (1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Drivers License.

All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or laptop computers are allowed into institutions at any time.
