    Work Description: 
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf
    of the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), intends to
    remediate a potential expansion site located adjacent to the CSC
    Mountain Institution, which is located at 4732 Cemetery Road in
    Agassiz, British Columbia.  The address of the parcel of land to
    be remediated is 3024 Sutherland Road, Agassiz, British Columbia
    (Drawing 1).
    
    All work will be carried out under contract to PWGSC on behalf
    of CSC.  PWGSC will be responsible for approving the final
    extent of materials to be removed, their destination, monitoring
    remediation progress, and assuring quality of the work.
    
    The project area known as the CSC Sutherland Road site is
    located immediately adjacent to the CSC Mountain Institution in
    Agassiz, British Columbia.  
    
    The work required under this contract covers:
    ·	Site preparation activities (i.e. mowing, installation of
    wildlife exclusion fencing) to facilitate pre-remediation
    wildlife survey and salvage conducted by others immediately
    prior to the active remediation component of the project.
    ·	Site preparation activities conducted immediately following
    wildlife salvage (i.e. draining of an on-site manure pit).
    ·	The remediation and restoration of a former landfill at the
    site (and associated impacted areas in adjacent tributaries and
    ponded areas of the site).
    ·	The remediation of contamination associated with a former
    above ground storage tank (AST).
    ·	The removal of concrete associated with a former manure pit
    (northern manure pit) and restoration of the manure pit area. 
    ·	The removal of concrete associated with a former on-site barn
    and restoration of the area following removal.  
    
    Site Visit:
    
    There will be a site visit on June 5, 2014 at 11:30am.  Bidders
    must check in at the PWGSC trailer in the Kent Institution
    parking lot.  Address:  PWGSC Trailer - Kent Parking Lot, Kent
    Institution - 4732 Cemetery Road, Agassiz, BC.
    
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The
    representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
    Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by
    Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be
    accepted.
    
    Interested bidders who intend on attending the site visit are to
    provide their name(s) and company name(s) to Patty Liu at
    Patty.Liu@pwgsc.gc.ca no later than 24 hours prior to the site
    visit.
    
    
    Delivery Date: 
    
    Remediation and restoration activities are to be completed
    within the fisheries window for the site (August 1 to September
    15, 2014).  Consequently, site preparation activities required
    to facilitate the pre-remediation salvage will be completed
    between July 16 and July 23, 2014.  All final submittals must be
    completed by September 30, 2014.

    Value of Project: 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
    is estimated to cost between 
    $2,400,000.00 to $2,900,000.00.
    
    Firms intending to submit proposals on this project should
