    Work Description: 
    Work under this Contract covers the supply and installation of
    rock anchors for a seismic retrofit of the existing concrete
    retaining wall located at the North Landing Wharf of the
    Esquimalt Graving Dock, 825 Admirals Road, Victoria, BC. The
    Work under this Contract includes the supply of rock anchors and
    anchorage components, the drilling of anchor holes, preparation
    of drilled holes, installation and grouting of anchors, testing
    and stressing of anchors, removal and replacement of existing
    wood curbs as required for anchor installation, cutting and
    repairing portions of the existing concrete wall for anchor
    installation, installation of new survey pins, and doing
    as-built survey of actual installed anchor locations.
    
    Site Visit: 
    Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
    submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
    investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
    the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
    
    An optional site visit is scheduled on Tuesday September 29th,
    2015 at 9:30 am PDST. Interested contractors are to meet at the
    PWGSC Project Trailer located at 825 Admirals Road, Victoria,
    BC.  
    
    Interested contractors are required to provide their name(s) and
    company name(s) to the Contracting Authority, Janie Leung at
    (604) 666-8228 or by email to Janie.Leung@pwgsc.gc.ca by Monday
    September 28th 2015 at 3:00pm PDST if you will be attending the
    site visit.  The front gate commissionaire will only allow
    access to the site if previous visitor information is provided
    and names appear on the visitor list.  
    
    Contractors are reminded that the Esquimalt Graving Dock is a
    heavy industrial site and WCB approved hard hats and safety
    footwear must be worn for the optional site visit.
    
    Security Requirement:
    There is a security requirement associated with this
    requirement. At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid
    Security Clearance as indicated in section SC01 of the
    Supplementary Conditions. Failure to comply with this
    requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further
    consideration will be given to the Bid.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within 14
    weeks of Contract award.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
    is estimated to cost between 
    $600,000 to $650,000.
