    This bid solicitation cancels and supersedes previous bid solicitation number F1700-150923/A dated 2015-12-15 with a closing of 2016-01-06 at 2:00pm PST. A debriefing or feedback session will be provided upon request to bidders/offerors/suppliers who bid on the previous solicitation.

    Work Description: 
    The project includes all labour and materials to modernize one hydraulic passenger elevator, one hydraulic freight elevator, two dumbwaiters and one lift located at the Sidney Institute of Ocean Sciences building. Work includes new non-proprietary electrical controllers, power units, motors, buried cylinders, 12 months of subsequent full parts and labour maintenance and an irrevocable option for maintenance service for a term of 60 months.
    
    Site Visit: 
    Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
    
    There is an optional site visit for prospective bidders on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:00 am PST at the Institute of Ocean & Sciences Building at 9860 W.Saanich Road, in Sidney, BC.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor must provide delivery of substantially all vertical transportation components by March 31, 2016.  The Contractor shall provide substantial completion of the project by October 31, 2016 including successful provincial inspection of each device.

    Value of Project: 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between 
    $525,000 to $575,000.
