    Work Description:
    Work under this Contract shall include the supply of equipment, labour and materials for the performance of the work as required by the Contract Documents. All replaced items, cut-offs and waste material shall be disposed by the Con-tractor in strict accordance with provincial, local and municipal regulations and Part 8 of the National Building Code and with the Canadian Construction Safety Code.
    
    The work to be carried out includes the demolition and disposal of parts of the existing concrete wharf between the pile cap at Bent 13 and Bent 15 at CCG Shoal Point, Victoria, BC and the supply and construction of two new approximately 16m by 7.2m concrete deck sections complete with support steel beams and concrete abutment. The work generally consists of, but is not limited to:
    
    1: Mobilisation/Demobilisation
    2: Demolish the existing concrete deck and abutment retaining wall between pile caps Bent 13 to Bent 15.
    3: Supply and install new support steel beams for the concrete deck complete as shown on drawings.
    4: Supply all material and construct concrete Lock-Block abutment.
    5: Supply and construct new reinforced concrete deck with cope and abutment beam between the pile caps at Bent 13 to Bent 15.
    6: Supply and construct new reinforced concrete transition plate between the wharf deck and the existing yard pavement and restore existing pavement around the transition plate.
    7: Repair the top 1.2m of the existing concrete Pile 14B
    8: Supply and install new timber guardrail and restore fender system, ladders and cleats that may have been removed for the construction.
    
    Site Visit: 
    There will be an optional site visit on Tuesday, January 07, 2020 at 1:00 PM local time. Interested bidders are to meet in the Lobby and report to the Commissionaire at the Victoria Canadian Coast Guard Base located at 25 Huron Street, Victoria, B.C.
    
    In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons attending must wear safety boots and a high visibility vest. Individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the work by August 31, 2020.
    
    Value of Project: 
    To assist with insurance and bonding requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $500,001.00 and $1,000,000.00.
