TITLE:
Kwisitis Visitor Centre Renovation

LOCATION:

COMPREHENSIVE LAND CLAIM AGREEMENT 
This procurement is subject to the Maa-nulth Final Agreement 

WORK DESCRIPTION:
Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the provision of all labour, materials, services and equipment necessary for the exterior and interior renovation of the existing Kwisitis Visitor Centre at Ucluelet, BC.

The exterior work comprises the replacement of cladding, window, door, mechanical louvre, and electrical and lighting replacement associated with the cladding replacement.

The interior work includes removal and replacement of damaged walls in basement services room and on main an upper floor washrooms, plumbing fixtures and interior finishing, resulting from prior water ingress.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract and as shown on the drawings.  

Note: the Kwisitis Visitor Centre was designated as "Recognized" heritage status by Parks Canada. The building components, apart from those that are specified to be replaced, are to be maintained and remain undisturbed.Also refer to Specification Section 01 14 00 Work Restriction. 

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
A site visit is scheduled on Wednesday, December 18 @ 11:00 am local time.  Interested bidders are to meet at the Kwisitis Visitor Centre, 485 Wick Road, Ucluelet, B.C.

Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

DELIVERY DATE:
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 28 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.

VALUE OF PROJECT:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,001 and $5,000,000.
