    Work Covered by Contract 
    Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items, including all ancillary Work, covered further in the Contract: 
    1. The twinning of the easternmost 90 m section of Wall A. Twinning will involve installing a second wall (A2) 2 m to the south of Wall A. 
    2. The Treatment Wall consists of reactive media uniformly distributed throughout a sand or pea gravel matrix (non-reactive media). The reactive media portion contains compost, limestone and zero valent iron. The mixture of the reactive and non-reactive media is simply referred to as the Treatment Wall Media (Wall media). 
    3. The treatment wall depth of wall A2 will be greater than that of wall A by 2m. 
    4. To complete the wall twinning work, only a caisson excavation method will be considered. 
    5. Site access restrictions apply.  
    7. Neighbouring or sensitive sites restrictions apply. 
    8. Soil classification based on exsitu testing; additional testing may be required as directed by the Departmental Representative. 
    9. Excavation of Contaminated Soil as per Drawings. Contractor solely responsible for excavating to Contaminated Material Limits. Excavation Limits on Drawings based on a nominal 1:1 slope for volume estimating purposes only; actual shoring and/or slope requirements responsibility of the Contractor. 
    10. Transportation of Contaminated Soil to facilities. 
    11. Disposal of Contaminated Soil. All material identified as Contaminated on the Site must be disposed of at a Disposal Facility, including material that has been Treated. 
    12. Contaminated Soil Placement in Onsite Cells and Transfer Facility. 
    13. Construction of a new Onsite Cell on property under the control of PSPC. 
    
    Optional Site Visit
    Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make enquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
    
    There will be a site visit on 07 October 2019 at 9:00am PDST. Interested bidders are to meet at the site office, Pacific Environment Centre Site, West Vancouver, BC.
    
    In order to be guaranteed access to the site all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.
    
    Completion of the Work: 
    All work must be completed no later than 2020 January 30. Includes all final Submittals including as-built documents, the Certificate of Completion, and the Statutory Declaration at Final Completion.
    
    Value of Project:
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,001 to $5,000,000.
