    Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has a need to modify/upgrade the existing Lab Fume Hood located within the Morden Research Centre in Morden, MB as more fully described in the Plans and Specifications.
    
    Work under this Contract comprises of, but is not limited to:
    
    1) Balance existing fume hood exhaust fans to airflows specified on the drawings;
    2) Verify adjusted airflows meet the required 0.5 m/s velocity at the fume hood sash;
    3) Coordinate work between air balancer and fume hood testing to ensure fume hood sash velocities meet ASHRAE 110 and PWGS MD 15128-2013 requirements;
    4) Provide TAB report of final airflows;
    5) Provide Fume Hood Report and certification of Fume Hood according to MD 15128;
    6) Commission the fume hoods and alarms;
    7) Replace Fume Hood lightbulbs where indicated and then Test lighting levels to PWGSC MD 15128-2013;
    8) Replace existing airflow alarms with new airflow alarms where indicated; and
    9) Relocation of a fan, roof penetration work, new stainless steel duct work and plumbing for FHE-11.
     
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    There will be a site visit on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Morden Research Centre, 101 Route 100, Unit 100, Morden, MB. Interested bidders are to meet at the Main Entrance to sign in at the reception desk. Photo ID may be requested. Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site. No exceptions will be made.
    
    Value of Project:  To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $100,001.00 and $250,000.00.
    
    Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid. 
    
    This procurement contains mandatory requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection of your bid.
