Work under this contract comprises the furnishing of all labour, materials, equipment and supervision required for dredging of St. Andrews Lock and Dam areas, located in Lockport, Manitoba, as more fully described in the plans and specifications.

The work will progress from the downstream end to the upstream endcontinuous for the full width of areas. Dredging will proceed in sequence, with no portions left incomplete to grade. The material is expected to consist primarily of frozen clay, silts, and silty fine sands. The areas may also contain a layer of frozenwater (ice) and other debris including wood, old piles, ropes, cables and chains.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
There will be an optional site visit on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at the site office of the PWGSC Works Maintenance Yard compound, St. Andrews Lock & Dam, Lockport, Manitoba. Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site. No exceptions will be made.

Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid. 

This procurement contains mandatory requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection of your bid.
