Trade Agreement: LCSA/CFTA Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: NHRC (National Hydrology Research Centre) Boilers Upgrade, 11 Innovation Drive, Saskatoon, SK The purpose of the project is to replace the hydronic heating boilers of an existing building located in Saskatoon, SK. The existing boilers have passed their expected service life and an increase in efficiency is desired of the new boilers. Three new condensing boilers are proposed to replace the existing forced draft boilers in the mechanical room. The steam humidification boiler shall be removed, including associated accessories and steam/condensate piping, and replaced with new gas-to steam humidifiers installed in close proximity to the existing Air Handling Units. The project will also include new pumping systems controlled via variable frequency drives (VFD), piping modifications to accommodate the new equipment layout and other various auxiliary equipment for the new system. In addition, new domestic hot water boilers, pumps and auxiliary equipment shall be provided to replace the existing units. Existing atmospheric boilers, installed in the fan room, shall be removed to provide additional space for new equipment. Along with the equipment replacement, the scope of work includes architectural improvements to facilitate access and maintenance to the mechanical areas. An optional site visit will be held on Thursday September 7, 2017 at 10:00am local time (SK). Interested bidders should meet up the main reception desk (lobby) of the National Hydrology Research Centre, located at 11 Innovation Blvd, Saskatoon, SK. The building is located on the University of Saskatchewan campus. No safety equipment is required for the walk through, contractors will gain access to view building mechanical areas. A representative from Environment & Climate Change Canada will be present during the site visit. All attendees must sign the Site Visit Attendance Register prior to the walkthrough. Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site. No exceptions will be made.
