    OVERVIEW 
    
    .1 The essential goal of the interventions are to replace four existing controlled environment enclosures in room SS-35 situated in the basement of the Laurentian Forestry Centre. The work also includes, without limitation:
    - Demolition of the existing enclosures;
    - Mechanical equipment deplacement;
    - Cutout of the concrete slab and partial excavation;
    - Reconstruction and waterproofing of a new low slab with drainage;
    - Installation of four new controlled environment enclosures and all connections to existing networks;
    - Floor finishes inside the enclosures including a floor drain in each enclosure;
    - Restoration and finishing of concrete surrounding the enclosures.
    
    .2 Provide and install dust-proof temporary partitions, built with steel studs and sealed gypsum boards, to protect all equipment that could be touched by the work. Partitions must be present to delimit the construction zone around indicated site zones and indicated equipment. Provide and install adequate protection for all elements that could be 
    touched by the present work. Install access doors. Coordinate all installation with the Departmental Representative. 
    Remove all temporary installations at the end of the work and repair all damaged surfaces. Temporary installations should be moved, enlarged or reduced on demnd without extra cost for the Owner.
    
    
    MANDATORY CRITERIA AT CLOSING DATE
    
    The Bidder must enclose a bid security with its bid.
    
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    
    There will be a site visit on Monday, February 12, 2018, at 10:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at :

    Bidders are requested to send the list of participants to each of the visits by email at Gabriel.Piras@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca no later than Friday, February 9, at 12:00.
    
    
    CONSTRUCTION TIME
    
    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 14 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
    
    More specifically, the work must be completed within eight weeks after the Contractor’s mobilization on site, which must be completed no later than six weeks after the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
