TITLE

Reconstruction of du Quai Street in Gaspé

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Transport Canada (TC) entrusted Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) with the mandate to have the du Quai Street rebuilt in Gaspé and to a certain extent, decontaminate its right-of-way, since it will be transferred to the MTQ thereafter. To this effect, PSPC will mandate a Contractor to carry out this work.

WORK DESCRIPTION

The works covered by this contract include, but are not limited to:
1.Demolition and disposal of existing roadway;
2.Demolition and disposal of certain existing drainage components;
3.Disposal of scrap and cut materials;
4.The excavation required for the removal of contaminated soil and for the construction of the drainage elements of the road and the disposal of contaminated or non-contaminated soil according to the special procedures in the specifications;
5.Construction of a drainage network comprising catchment basins, ditch catchment basins, manholes, conduits, culverts and drains;
6.Reconstruction of the roadway and installation of asphalt pavement;
7.Curb construction;
8.Construction of rigid barriers;
9.Construction of transitions for semi-rigid barriers and end devices;
10.Marking;
11.Signage;
12.Maintaining traffic.

SUBMISSION OF BID

SITE VISIT

There will be no site visit. Before submitting bid, Contractor is responsible to get all necessary information regarding conditions that may affect the execution of the contract.

MANDATORY CRITERION AT CLOSING DATE

The Bidder shall enclose bid security with its bid.

PERIOD OF WORK

The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within thirty one (31) weeks following contract award.
