Trade Agreement: CETA / WTO-AGP / NAFTA / CFTA / FTAs with Peru / Colombia / Panama / Korea Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: TITLE: RECONSTRUCTION OF WHARF AT CARLETON-SUR-MER (QUÉBEC) PROJECT DESCRIPTION Reconstruction of Carleton-sur-Mer wharf is a complex project that includes many different components, involving : demolition of creosoted cribwork wharf; filling voids under slab in wharf head; repair of sheet piles with fabricated metal; surface preparation and painting of sheet piles; installation of a new sheet pile bulkhead pinned in rock; construction of a rock armored embankment of a portion of wharf; construction of a breakwater including floating docks installation; wooden crib construction; various works on wharf surface and wharf equipment. Project shall be undertaken by experienced contractor for many reasons : reduced available area onsite; presence of marina nearby; ongoing fishing related activities; works in a harsh environment subjected to waves and tides action; managing a work schedule including many different items in a tight time frame; compliance with environmental mitigation measures; poor condition of existing wharf that requires to plan ahead using a specific work sequence that consider safety issues; underwater works etc. MANDATORY CRITERIA AT CLOSING DATE The Bidder must enclose bid security with its bid. PERIOD OF WORK The contractor must perform and complete the work by July 31, 2020 according to the schedule presented in the specifications.
