    High Density Mobile Shelving
    Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, located at 74 Victoria
    St., Toronto, Ontario, has the requirement for the supply,
    delivery, and installation of High Density Mobile Shelving
    units, as specified in Annex A of the Request for Proposal (RFP)
    document.
    
    Delivery and installation is required within eight weeks from
    date of award.
    
    The proposed bidders must meet all mandatory criteria detailed
    in the Request for Proposal document.
    
    Some of the mandatory criteria are provided below. Refer to the
    RFP for the complete list.
    
    The Bidder must meet the specifications and floor plan at Annex
    "A" and must provide a statement, with their bid, stating that
    they understand and meet all technical specifications outlined
    in Annex A.
    
    The Bidder must submit drawings, with their bid, for the mobile
    shelving system proposed to meet the requirements at Annex A,
    including all required dimensions and elevations, the number of
    actual linear filing inches provided and the total floor space
    
    The mobile system manufacturer must be ISO9000 registered OR
    have a Quality Management Plan in place. 
    
    As a minimum the plan must demonstrate that there is a program
    in the manufacturing facility for verifying the conformance of
    products throughout the process and must cover the following
    stages:
    
    Purchasing: to ensure that all purchased material conforms to
    the specification requirements:
    Incoming Material Inspection: to provide inspection and
    identification of incoming material;
    Fabrication, Manufacturing and Assembly Inspection: to
    indicated as a minimum, all required last point inspections;
    Final Inspection: to indicate that all finished work is subject
    to a final inspection:
    Workmanship: how the workmanship is maintained at a level of
    quality consistent with the technical specification; and
    Inspection records: that records of all inspections performed to
    substantiate conformance to the specification requirements are
    maintained.
    
    The Bidder must submit a copy of the Manufacturer's ISO
    Registration Certificate, or Quality Management Plan as
    applicable, with their bid, OR within 3 working days of the
    written request by the Contracting Authority. Failure to submit
    within 3 days will render the bid non-responsive.
    
    Mandatory Site Visit - It is mandatory that the bidder or a
    representative of the bidder visit the work site.  Arrangements
    have been made for a site visit to be held on 14 November 2012 at
    10:00 AM at 74 Victoria St., Toronto, On   M5C 3C7.
    
    Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later
    than two (2) days before the scheduled visit to confirm
    attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who will
    attend. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will
    not be given an alternative appointment and their bids will be
    rejected as non-compliant.
