    1.2.1 Public Works and Government Services Canada Environmental Services, has a requirement for Contaminated Sites Marine Sediment Remediation Services on an "as and when requested" basis on behalf of PWGSC and other federal clients in British Columbia and Yukon.
    
    Generally, the required services may include:
    a) program management;
    b) investigations and modelling;
    c) planning;
    d) remediation construction management; and
    e) other related environmental services
    
    It is expected that PWGSC will award up to two Contracts as a result of this Request For Proposal. The overall estimated volume of work to be distributed amongst successful bidders is up to $20,000,000.00 (including applicable taxes). The period of the Contracts will be for three years from the date of contract award.
    
    1.2.2 There are security requirements associated with this requirement. For additional information, consult Part 6 - Security, Financial and Other Requirements, and Part 7 - Resulting Contract Clauses.     1.2.3 The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
    
    1.2.4 This bid solicitation is to establish a contract with task authorizations (TA) for the delivery of the requirement detailed in the bid solicitation, to the Identified Users across British Columbia and the Yukon Territory, including areas subject to Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements.
    
    1.2.5 There is an optional bidder’s conference associated with this requirement.  
     
    
    1.2.6 The Federal Contractors Program (FCP) for employment equity applies to this procurement; see Part 5 - Certifications and Additional Information, Part 7 - Resulting Contract Clauses and the annex titled Federal Contractors Program for Employment Equity - Certification.
    
    1.2.7 This bid solicitation allows bidders to use the epost Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation to transmit their bid electronically.  Bidders must refer to Part 2 entitled Bidder Instructions, and Part 3 entitled Bid Preparation Instructions, of the bid solicitation, for further information.
