    Requirement:  For the Supply of one (1) Fabric (membrane)
    Portable Shelter on behalf of Public Works and Government
    Services Canada, with delivery to the Esquimalt Graving Dock
    located in Victoria, BC. Installation/set up of the shelter at
    the site will form part of this requirement.
    
    Intended Purpose of the Fabric Covered Shelter:  
    To utilize six (6) steel storage containers (sea-containers),
    each 40 feet in length that will be arranged in a U-shaped
    configuration. These steel storage containers are 8'6" in height
    and  8' feet in width. The containers will be stacked one on top
    of another to a maximum height of two containers. These double
    stacked containers will form side and rear walls. 
    
    The wall mounted Fabric Covered Shelter being offered will span
    the distance from the outside of one wall of containers to the
    outside of the opposite wall of containers. The back of the
    shelter will be enclosed from the peak of the shelter to the top
    of the back row of containers. It is intended to use this fabric
    covered shelter to shield two mobile cranes from weather
    elements i.e. rain and snow.   The Fabric Covered Shelter will
    overlap the edges of the containers.  
    
    Mandatory Site Visit:  It is mandatory that the Bidder or a
    representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements
    have been made for site visit to be held on September 11, 2012
    at  Esquimalt Graving Dock, 825 Admirals Road, Victoria, B.C. at
    1:00 p.m.   Bidders must communicate with the Contracting
    Authority no later than two (2) day(s) before the scheduled
    visit to confirm attendance and provide the names of the
    person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an
    attendance form. Bidders should confirm in their bids that they
    have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or send
    a representative will not be given an alternative appointment
    and their bids will be rejected as non-compliant. Any
    clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from
    the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
    solicitation.
    
    Mandatory Requirements:  The bidder's offered Shelter must meet
    the following mandatory requirements.			
    1.  The supplied portable building system shall be certified as
    manufactured in accordance with 	CSA-A660-10, under the National
    Building Code of Canada		
    2.  The supplied portable building system shall be certified as
    manufactured in accordance with CSA Standard W47.1
    "Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel" in
    Division 2	
    3.  The supplied portable building system shall meet all the
    requirements of CSA-S367-09, Air, Cable and Frame Supported
    Membrane Structures		
    4.  All Supplied drawings shall be stamped by a certified
    Engineer.  (Successful bidder only)	
    5.  The delivery of the shelter to the site must be on or before
    31 October 2012. Shelter must be installed on or before 9
    November 2012.		
    6. Bidders must provide their complete specifications and/or
    descriptive literature for the product being offered, to
    demonstrate that the offered product is in accordance with Annex
    A- Requirement (to be included in tender document)
