Tailoring Services

Requirement

The Department of National Defence (DND) requires the services
of a contractor to provide on-site and off-site tailoring to
Clothing Stores, CFB Esquimalt.  Uniforms are to be fitted at
Clothing Stores; alterations made at the Contractor's off-base
site, and delivered back to Clothing Stores.  Small tasks such
as sewing on badges and buttons, sewing or reinforcing seams,
and hemming pants are to be performed on-site.

The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to 31
December 2015 inclusive, with an option to extend for an
additional year from 01 January 2015 to 31 December 2016 (Canada
Option).

The estimated business volume is $225,000.00 per year,
applicable taxes included.  Actual usage will vary.  A rough
breakdown of the expected Work is:

50% - for per diem on-site service that will include measuring
members' uniforms and marking where the alterations are to be
made; and sewing on badges, quick fixes, etc.;
40% - "as and when requested" Work through Task Authorizations
for services specifically listed in the Basis of Payment; and
10% - "as and when requested" Work through Task Authorizations
for services not specifically listed in the Basis of Payment,
but payable on an hourly basis.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
