Trade Agreement: NAFTA/AIT/Canada FTAs with Peru/Colombia/Panama Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: None Competitive Procurement Strategy: Best Overall Proposal Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Compound Microscope F1688-130021/A Armstrong, Wendy Telephone No. - (604) 775-7691 Fax No. - (604) 775-7526 Custom Research-Grade Microscopes and associated camera and computer systems to be delivered to Cultus Lake Salmon Research Laboratory, 4222 Columbia Valley Highway, Cultus Lake, BC V2R 5B6. - One (1) compound microscope with differential interference contrast (DIC) & phase contrast (PC) optics & digital capture system: Brightfield, differential interference contrast and phase contrast optics; Motorized illumination axis, including light intensity, field & aperture diaphragm; Achromatic (i.e N PLAN) objectives (10x, 20x, 40x, 100x oil); Automated condenser head with oil immersion and non-oil condensers; Fully automated differential interference contrast and phase contrast; Automated constant colour intensity control to maintain constant colour temperature; Touch screen controlling automated/motorized functions; Programmable function keys for customized ergonomics among users; External controller box for microscope & motorized components; Three megapixel sCMOS camera (min. 5 megapixel resolution, max. 2.35 micron pixel size) and up to 30 frames per second at full frame; Computer, monitor, and interactive software enabling microscope operation & image processing including measurement & annotation, & image stitching capability; Customer service response within 48 hours of customer notification. - One (1) epifluorescence compound microscope with DIC optics and digital capture system: Brightfield, differential interference contrast, & fluorescent imaging; Motorized illumination axis, including light intensity, field & aperture diaphragm; External controller box for microscope & motorized components; Semi- Apochromat (i.e. PLAN FLUOTAR) objectives (10x, 20x, 40x, 100x oil); Automated condenser head; Dust cover; Automated constant colour intensity control to maintain constant colour temperature; Specific filter cubes for bacteria and picoplankton epifluorescence; Motorized fluorescent turret for up to 8 filter cubes; Fully automated differential interference contrast; Automated fluorescence intensity manager; Touch screen controlling automated/motorized functions; Programmable function keys for customized ergonomics among users; Digital monochrome, high-sensitivity camera (min. 1.3 megapixel, max. 3.75 micron pixel size) for fluorescence (up to 31 frames per second at full frame); Computer, monitor, and interactive software enabling microscope operation & image processing including overlay, measurement, annotation, threshold analyses, & stitching capability (light and fluorescent imaging); Customer service response within 48 hours of customer notification - One (1) stereomicroscope with digital capture system: 8:1 zoom ratio with min. 10-75x; Field of view up to 30.7mm column; Transmitted light base with adjustable mirror and LED goose neck incident illumination; sCMOS camera (min. 5 megapixel, max. 3.34 micron pixel size) for stereomicroscopy (up to 30 frames per second at full frame); Dust cover; Computer, monitor, and interactive software enabling microscope operation & image processing including overlay, measurement, annotation, threshold analyses, & stitching capability; Customer service response within 48 hours of customer notification. NOTE: For each of the microscopes the monitor must be at least 22" and the computer must have processor capacity, video memory & RAM capable of handling the digital capture software and interface with the digital capture system.
