    Description
Trade Agreement: WTO-AGP/NAFTA/AIT/Canada FTAs with Peru/Colombia/Panama
Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid
    Competitive Procurement Strategy:
    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No
    Nature of Requirements:

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), on behalf of the Department of National Defence (DND), is requesting Industry feedback regarding industry capabilities, offerings and recommendations for the application of Unique Identification (UID) marking and subsequent data remediation.
This RFI is neither a call for tender nor a Request for Proposal (RFP). No agreement or contract will be entered into based on this RFI. The issuance of this RFI is not to be considered in any way a commitment by the Government of Canada, nor as authority to potential respondents to undertake any work that could be charged to Canada. This RFI is not to be considered as a commitment to issue a subsequent solicitation or award contract(s) for the work described herein.

In order to exert sound stewardship of Department of National Defence (DND) and Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) inventory holdings, tangible capital assets, asset pooled inventories and other items in DND/CAF’s supply chain, along with addressing dataerrors and deficiencies in our supporting information management systems, the DND/CAF wishes to embark on a Data Remediation and Marking Initiative.
This initiative includes the development and application of Unique Identification (UID). Because a critical mass of items must be marked and registered with UID before business processes can exploit the benefits of machine readable identification, marking of UID relevant items currently in the possession of DND is a leading activity.
What will be in scopein parallel with the UID marking activity is the full Remediation of Data in the DND ERP (or other systems of record) that pertain to the items being marked. For this purpose, data consists of identification data, including master data and point in timedata (e.g., location, condition).
This RFI will inform DND of the scope of industry’s capabilities to support the DND organic workforce. Marking best practices and rough order of magnitude cost implications are also requested.

    Delivery Date: Above-mentioned

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
