Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: The bidder must supply Canadian goods and/or services Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Patent Agent Services The Intellectual Property Management and the Transfer of Technology (IPMTT) require the services of patent agents to support the management of intellectual property (IP) developed in the context of the activities of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). The tasks required include activities related to the maintenance of the CSA's patent portfolio, to patent applications, the registration of official marks, and consultations for intellectual property protection strategies thatmay occur during the period covered by the contract. The CSA portfolio consists of approximately 26 technology files, including 52 patents and 10 patent applications in a number of jurisdictions, as well as 38 official marks, 35 of which are published. The period of the Contract is from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 inclusive with an irrevocable option to extend the contract for a maximum of 24 periods of one-year each. For more information on personnel and organization security screening or security clauses, bidders should refer to the Industrial Security Program of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) (http://ssi-iss.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/index-eng.html) website. This procurement is subject to the Controlled Goods Program. The De fence production Act (http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/d-1/) defines Canadian Controlled Goods as certain goods listed in Canada’s Export Control List, a regulation made pursuant to the Export and Impo rt Permits Act (EIPA). The Federal Contractors Program (FCP) for employment equity applies to this procurement; see Part 5 - Certifications, Part 7 - Resulting Contract Clauses and the Attachment 2 to Part 3 under section Federal Contractors Program for Employment Equity - Certification. The requirement is limited to Canadian services. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
