What the government buys
The Government of Canada buys just about every kind of good and service, from aircraft to paper clips, from training services to scientific research. Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is responsible for a significant portion of these procurement opportunities.
As the main buyer of goods and services, including construction, PSPC helps federal departments and agencies define what they need and get it at the best value.
Tender notices for most goods and services valued at $25,000 or more are published on CanadaBuys. For most goods and services valued below this threshold, PSPC will solicit bids from selected suppliers registered in its source lists. Many of the goods or services PSPC buys below $25,000 are handled by its regional offices.
Find your good or service
We use the United Nations Standard Products and Services Codes (UNSPSC) to classify the goods and services we buy. You can use these codes to search tender and award notices, contract history, and standing offer and supply arrangements.
