Transition to the CanadaBuys Tender Management Application
April 5, 2023
As of March 31, 2023, the functionality to create new tender and award notices will no longer be available to users of the Buyandsell Tender Management Application (TMA). Any new notices after this date will need to be created using the CanadaBuys TMA.
Note: Keep in mind that there is no link between the Buyandsell TMA and the CanadaBuys TMA.
How does this affect you?
- If your notice is currently active and expires prior to June 30, 2023, it will remain accessible to make amendments until its expiration date, through the use of the Buyandsell TMA.
- June 30 is also the proposed date to turn off all of the remaining Buyandsell TMA functionalities. A transition strategy is currently in the works for any tender or award notices expiring after this date.
- New award notices after March 31, 2023, will need to be created using the CanadaBuys TMA. To ensure transparency, information linking to the original Buyandsell tender notice should be added to the award notice description. This should include but is not limited to: the title and link to the original notice, the solicitation number, publication date, and closing date. This is important to note, as the original Buyandsell notice will not appear in the Related notices tab on the CanadaBuys TMA, due to there being no link between the two applications.
