Getting started
Are you interested in viewing and/or bidding on tender opportunities with the Government of Canada? To get started, you will need to register for a free account.
Government procurement is moving online
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is using SAP Ariba, a web-based tool that allows businesses to view and bid on opportunities with the Government of Canada. All procurement that PSPC manages for the Government of Canada will take place on this tool and businesses will need an account. We are making this transition over time and in phases.

Register your business
During the transition to online procurement, you will be able to bid on some tender opportunities through SAP Ariba, while others will continue to require bid submission through existing methods. Each procurement opportunity will clearly detail the delivery method to be used to submit a bid. This means that you may need to register in both SAP Ariba and the Supplier Registration Information (SRI) system.
To do business with the Government of Canada, you will need a business number from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). This applies regardless of the business size. You do not need the number in order to create your SAP Ariba account, but you will need it if you win a contract.
Visit the CRA website to learn how to get your business number.
If you do not represent a business and only want to view tender opportunities posted in SAP Ariba, you will still need to register for a free account.

Register in the Supplier Registration Information (SRI) system
To bid on tender opportunities not yet managed in SAP Ariba, you will need to register in the Supplier Registration Information (SRI) system and obtain a procurement business number. This number is required for award of contracts that are not managed online through SAP Ariba.
If you are already registered in the SRI system, verify that your supplier registration information is up-to-date.

Find tender opportunities
The transition to online bidding will take place gradually by product or service categories. We are continuing to make all tender opportunities available through Buyandsell on Canada’s government electronic tendering service. It will look and feel the same. The only difference is some of those tender opportunities will now redirect you to SAP Ariba, where you will be able to view tender opportunity details as well as bid online.
