The Government of Canada is committed to creating opportunities for Indigenous businesses to succeed and grow.

One of the key steps in this commitment involves setting an annual target to award at least 5% of the value of all federal contracts to businesses owned or led by Indigenous peoples.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and its partners are pleased to host a series of national and regional Indigenous business information sessions to discuss federal contracting opportunities.

The National Indigenous Business Information kick-off session will take place online on October 11, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Time)

The topics for this session will include:

  • an overview of the 5% objective for Indigenous procurement
  • information on upcoming federal procurement opportunities for information and communication technology goods and services and construction-related projects
  • support services and programs to assist Indigenous businesses and organizations

This session will be delivered in English, with simultaneous interpretation in French. American Sign Language and Quebec Sign Language will also be available, and closed captioning will be available upon request.
