Luxsonic’s mission is to improve access to healthcare using immersive technologies, like virtual reality. They empower the healthcare industry with immersive software tools that enhance medical education, clinical skills training, and remote healthcare delivery. Their flagship product, SieVRt, is the world's first radiology workflow software designed for use in portable virtual reality headsets. It provides radiologists with a digital twin of their working environment and contains all of the tools needed for remote diagnostic radiology. The SieVRt environment also permits real-time, multi-user, collaboration, providing clinicians, residents, students and even patients with tools to share and interact with medical images, regardless of their physical location. SieVRt is being deployed at major hospitals and academic centers across North America and has received Health Canada authorisation for sale as a Class 2 Medical Device. It is transforming how radiologists work, interact and learn. Luxsonic has deep expertise in immersive medicine and has completed over 40 projects in the industry since 2017. They have developed virtual-reality based clinical skills training and assessment applications which include; airway management, IV insertion, lab medicine and more. They have completed projects for major Canadian universities, a variety of Canadian healthcare regulatory agencies, and even the Canadian Space Agency.
