3D4MD is a social enterprise that digitally fabricates regulatory-compliant medical devices and quality-tested surgical simulators to impact over 1 billion lives at home, abroad, and in space. We are leaders in 3D printing in austere environments and hold the distinction of 3D printing the first medical supplies onboard the International Space Station and at the Mars Desert Research Station. 3D4MD is licensed by Health Canada to 3D print Class I medical devices and received an overall compliant rating after a routine inspection by Health Canada in 2019. In partnership with Medical Makers, 3D4MD crowdsources life-changing solutions to minimize development time and costs and maximize our global impact. We use open-filament, open-source, and user-friendly 3D printers and design solutions that print support-free and are ready to use right out of the 3D printer. We 3D print with sanitizable and sterilizable filament so medical devices can be reused and make single-use items out of biocompatible and recyclable or biorenewable plastic. 3D4MD is a minority woman-owned and operated social enterprise that uses 3D printing to directly benefit girls and women by reducing inequities and strengthening their rights.
